Cyril P. McGuire


Cyril McGuire is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Trintech Group plc (Nasdaq:TTPA) which was established in 1987 and is a leading global provider of integrated financial governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) software solutions for the commercial, financial and healthcare markets. 

Prior to co-founding Trintech, he worked as an Investment Manager with the Industrial Credit Corporation plc, a leading Irish financial institution where his responsibilities included the appraisal of IT investment projects from the indigenous corporate sector and foreign multinationals.

Recognised for his contribution to software development in Ireland, he was asked to participate in the Government Trade Advisory Forum, chaired by the Minister for Trade & Industry, which advises Government on national and international trade matters.  He is also a member of the Irish Software CEO Forum.

Cyril graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1980 and a Master of Business Studies in 1981. 

He was awarded the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ for Technology in 1999 by Ernst & Young, while Trintech won the Irish Software Association ‘Company of the Year’ Award.  He is a regular speaker at various IT and software industry events and investment banking conferences.
