The executive MBA in health care management celebrated its 10th year in existence this year, under the auspices of its academic director, Dr. Gerardine Doyle. Originally run by UCD in conjunction with the Royal College of Surgeons, the MBA last year changed status to be run entirely within UCD, with teaching resources being drawn from both UCD Smurfit School and the UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science.
On Wednesday April 2nd, we had a gathering of alumni from the past 10 years along with senior representatives from the health care sector. Many of our alumni are now senior clinicians and managers within our health service. We were particularly proud to welcome our keynote speaker, Mr Michael Scanlan, Secretary General of the Department of Health & Children.
