Alltech Pharma Competition Winners

UCD Smurfit School is delighted to announce that the current MBA Students competed successfully in the Alltech Pharma competition as part of their project work in the MBA Strategic Marketing Class. The winners include:

Congratulations to these deserving winners. As a compliment to and an acknowledgement of their work Alltech Inc is now engaged with the winning team in discussing how best to proceed to the next stage.

Background to the Competition

Alltech Inc. is in the process of developing new product concepts based on nutrigenomics. From these new product concepts the company expects to develop a series of very exciting new products, the creative application of which, could have profound effects on human health. Since these technologies will lead Alltech Inc. into what would be an unconventional field for the company as leaders in animal health and nutrition (www.alltech.com),  Alltech Inc. believes that it would be appropriate to develop these technologies within a new company – Alltech Pharma. This new company would ultimately be publicly listed due to the considerable investment required for the necessary research and development. In preparing for a public listing on the stock exchange, Alltech Inc. must develop a prospectus detailing the new company proposal. This prospectus will outline the technology, opportunity, and other aspects of Alltech Pharma.   To help in the process of establishing Alltech Pharma, Alltech Inc have announced a prestigious competition to be open to MBA students at the University of Kentucky and MBA students at University College Dublin.

Alltech Inc. invites MBA students from the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky and from the MBA Course on Strategic Marketing at the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at University College Dublin, Ireland to enter a competition to research and write a Company Prospectus for Alltech Pharma which Alltech Inc plans to launch and take public as a listing on a stock exchange.
