Smurfit People

At UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, we see our faculty and staff as our primary resource.

Our Objectives

UCD Smurfit School provides a climate that encourages and values the participation of each faculty and staff member. Our aim is simple: to inspire our students through our teaching and create an exciting, supportive environment in which to study.

We work hard to make sure our students benefit from studying in an environment where teachers have direct involvement in researching their subject area and are happy to share their knowledge and experience.

The Dean

Professor Tom Begley was named Dean of the UCD School of Business in 2006. He has a PhD from Cornell and has taught in Singapore, Indonesia, France and the US. Prof Begley most recently held the Governor Hugh L. Carey Chair in Organisational Behaviour at UCD.
