Dr Vincent O'Connell BComm MBS ACMA PhD

Biography:

Dr. Vincent O'Connell is Senior Lecturer, Department of Accountancy, UCD School of Business. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Accounting at Korea University Business School in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to joining Korea University, Dr. O'Connell worked in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems, University College Cork (UCC). He is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Rennes and at the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague.

Dr. O'Connell received his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 2001 and holds B.Comm and MBS degrees from University College Cork. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Dr. O'Connell's research interests are in the areas of financial reporting, managerial accounting, executive compensation, corporate governance and the interaction between marketing and accounting. His research work has been published in a number of leading journals in these fields.
