John Geary is Professor in Industrial Relations and Human Resources at UCD School of Business. He is a graduate of NUI Maynooth and obtained his D.Phil (Sociology) at the University of Oxford (Nuffield College). He is an Honorary Professor at the Marco Biagi Foundation, Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia. John worked at Warwick Business School prior to coming to UCD. He was Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI), Florence in 2001-2002, and has been a visiting professor at the Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia (2008) and at the Research Centre for Equality, Social Organisation and Performance, Department of Economics, University of Oslo (2010). As well as teaching and researching industrial relations and human resource management, John is director of the Doctoral Reseach Programme at the UCD School of Business.
