Camilla Noonan is a lecturer of Strategy and International Business at UCD Business Schools and a member of UCD's Center for Innovation, Technology and Organisation (CITO). She joined UCD in 2000. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at UCD and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Reading, UK. Her research focuses on the spatial and organisational issues associated with technology and innovation. In 2003, she was the recipient of the Richard N. Farmer dissertation award at the US Academy of International Business and a finalist for the Gunnar Hedlund dissertation award at the European International Business Academy (EIBA). She has held visiting appointments at Rutgers Business School, USA (2004-2006) and is a board member (and Irish representative) of EIBA since 2007. Dr Noonan was the Academic Director of the CEMS (Community of European Management Schools) masters programme at UCD from 2008-2011.

| Broadly, my research interest focuses on understanding the relationship between innovation, technology and
organisation, and the associated policy and management implications. Current projects include: - 'Innovation practice in large global software development firms - the use of ICT to support distributed communities of practice' - 'Innovation practice in the global semiconductor industry - the formation of networks around technical experts' |
