Research Interests
Over the past few years, businesses and academic researchers alike have displayed increased levels of enthusiasm for the management of environmental issues. In particular, recent research suggests that proactive environmental strategies may be an excellent instrument to enhance the legitimacy of the firm among its stakeholders and to develop social responsibility images. To date, the view of environmental strategies as an instrument to legitimize and market the firm has been investigated mainly in North America. As a result, little is known about the desirability and content of environmental strategies in other nations. Against this background, my research interest revolves around critical understanding of how businesses use environmental strategies and environmental management systems to highlights their commetment to sustainable development in Europe, China and the Middle East.
