Matt Glowatz has been a lecturer in the Management Information Systems Subject Area at University College Dublin since 1997. He holds a Degree in Business and Computer Science and a Master of Business Studies specialising in Management Information Systems (Graduate School of Business, UCD). He is currently conducting a PhD research programme at the Smurfit Graduate School of Business (UCD) with a particular focus on Web2.0 and Social Networking in context of implementing eLearning initiatives. At University College Dublin, he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering topics like Information Systems Management, Project Management, Electronic Business, eMarketing & Social Networking related modules. Since September 2005, Matt is the Master of Science (MSc) in iBusiness (Innovation through ICT) programme director and is also member of the UCD School of Business Teaching & Learning committee and the European Academic Council for Electronic Marketplaces (ACEM). At University College Dublin, Matt received the Excellence in Teaching Awards twice in the Higher Diploma of Business Studies (IT) programme. He won the Educational Contribution Award at the Irish Internet Association's Net Visionary Awards 2006 recognizing his significant contribution to the Irish Internet Industry through education. He is also a regular media contributor in eBusiness related matters. |
