China MSc Merit Based ScholarshipsThe Scholarship programme is funded by UCD, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Scholarships are awarded to academically exceptional students from China (currently residing in China) who will be ambassadors for their course and the School during their studies and after graduation.

This Scholarship programme aims to attract excellent candidates to some of the Schools MSc programmes and encourage early application. These Scholarships are only open to either Direct Applicants to the School or students coming through UCD recognised Agents in China. It is therefore not open to other students. Scholarships are open to self-sponsored candidates who have been offered a place on a full time MSc Programme. Applicants must have completed the application process to the programme of their choice and fulfilled all the necessary admissions requirements. Scholarship winners will be selected on merit.
Applicants to the following programmes are eligible for the Scholarship:
- MSc Digital Innovation Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
- MSc Business Analytics Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
- MSc Energy and Environmental Finance Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
- MSc Strategic Management Accounting Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
- MSc International Business Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
- MSc Management Full-Time – up to 1 scholarship
The process is very straightforward. Students do not need to apply separately to be considered for these specific programme based MSc China Scholarships. All successful applicants for these MSc programme are automatically considered. These scholarships are merit based.
The deadline for submitting your application is the 17th March 2018.
Decisions will be made by the Schools Scholarship Committee on or before the 1st May 2018. In exceptional cases, we may offer some of these Scholarships in advance of May 2018. All decisions are final.
Candidates qualifying for more than one scholarship or bursary and successful in that, can’t add or combine them. They will be awarded the higher amount. Candidates can't transfer or use one scholarship or bursary between or against another programme. Scholarships and bursaries are also not allowed to be deferred to a future academic year so will be awarded to the student for the year they are offered a place only in UCD Smurfit. That is, students can't defer their place in UCD Smurfit to a future year.
