This scholarship will be awarded to an academically exceptional student who also has demonstrated leadership and impact achievements in their career to date. They will be an ambassador for the Smurfit MBA and the School during their studies and after graduation.
This merit based scholarship is open to all MBA applicants and covers the full tuition fees for either the full-time or Executive part-time MBA at UCD Smurfit School.
This scholarship is open to all applicants scoring 700 or above on the GMAT.
To be considered, candidates must have already been admitted to the full-time or part-time Executive MBA by 31st March 2018. That is, they must have applied online for the MBA Programme, been interviewed, hold a Full, Unconditional Offer of a place and have accepted that full offer.
There is no separate application process for this Scholarship. All successful applicants, holding a Full Offer and having accepted that offer for the full-time or the executive part-time MBA are automatically considered. As part of this, to be eligible, a candidate must therefore hold a GMAT score of at least 700 out of 800 to be in consideration for this prestigious award.
- All decisions are final. Decisions will be made no later than 30th April 2018 but may be made before that date.
- Successful candidates can be awarded one Scholarship only. No candidate will be awarded more than one Scholarship or Bursary. This scholarship is valid for entry to the Smurfit MBA in September 2018.
- Scholars may also be required to participate in media promotion of the School and Scholarships (interviews/testimonials, MBA blog, or other forms of promotional activity as required).
- Candidates interested in being considered for this Scholarship must have applied online to the programme by 7th March 2018, hold a Full Offer from the School and have accepted that offer by 31st March 2018. This therefore includes a MBA candidate having sat the GMAT and having scored a minimum of 700 out of 800.
Candidates qualifying for more than one scholarship or bursary and successful in that, can’t add or combine them. They will be awarded the higher amount. Candidates can't transfer or use one scholarship or bursary between or against another programme. Scholarships and bursaries are also not allowed to be deferred to a future academic year so will be awarded to the student for the year they are offered a place only in UCD Smurfit. That is, students can't defer their place in UCD Smurfit to a future year.
