What is an Ad Astra Scholarship?
The Ad Astra Research Scholarship is aimed at excellent candidates who want to pursue PhD degrees by research with participation in a programme of transferable skills modules.
Who can apply?
UCD Ad Astra Research Scholarships are available to all students who are prepared to study on a full-time basis. To be eligible, you should have obtained or expect to obtain a 1st Class Honours Degree or at least a 2.1 Honours Degree or equivalent, and be qualified for direct admission to a PhD programme for the first time in September 2008.
What is the value of the Ad Astra Scholarship?
The Ad Astra Scholarships carry a stipend of €16,000 a year, and an additional grant to cover your fees. They are tenable for up to 4 years. Teaching experience will form part of your training in your second and subsequent years.
How to apply
The Centre for Doctoral Studies, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School will offer a number of UCD Ad Astra Research Scholarships, beginning in the academic year, September 2008.
