Message from the Programme Director

Professor Niamh Brennan

Ireland is working hard to recover its reputation internationally, with significant and continuing improvements in corporate governance standards at a regulatory level. However, improvements also need to take place in business practice. Those improvements depend on having knowledgeable, skilled governance experts holding key roles in organisations. We welcome senior business people to the programme not only to learn about governance regulations but also to learn about the practice of governance, and to appreciate the role of behavioural issues to executing governance in the real world. The quality of our participants ensures that robust discussion and debate of these, and many other issues of corporate governance, make the classroom experience an enriching one.

The Diploma in Corporate Governance is now in its eighth year. Our growing alumni body comprises many well known business people, who are actively contributing their expertise to ensure the highest standards of business practice in Ireland. The programme has a close association with the Corporate Governance Association of Ireland, which was founded by our inaugural group of graduates.
