In the wake of recent turmoil in world markets, and problems arising from US sub-prime mortgages, corporate governance remains critical to the proper management of companies. Two companies registered in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) have experienced particular difficulties, bringing into question the light regulatory approach followed in relation to the IFSC. We welcome senior business people to the programme to contribute to discussion and debate of these, and many other issues of corporate governance.
The Diploma in Corporate Governance is now in its fifth year. Our growing alumni body comprises many well known business people, who are actively contributing their expertise to ensure the highest standards of business practice in Ireland. The programme has a close association with the Corporate Governance Association of Ireland, which was founded by our inaugural group of graduates.
