At it's heart, High-Impact Leadership is all about finding your own unique and authentic leadership style which will allow you to get the best from yourself and the people you lead.
High-impact leaders are highly self-aware, are comfortable taking personal responsibility and accountability but also know how to delegate and hold others accountable for results.
The environment in which managers operate is increasingly challenging. We face tougher competitive challenges, in compressed timeframes forcing faster decisions, often with severely limited resources. The imperative to get the best out of ourselves and the people around us has never been greater. This is further complicated by the emerging realisation that sustainable high performance can only be achieved when people are treated in a balanced, integrative way.
This represents the fundamental challenge of leadership. Most managers however find themselves ill-equipped for this role. While managers generally have a strong technical or functional background, few have ever been taught how to lead. Managers find themselves being asked to take on broader, more strategic roles without the ability to build the authentic, trusting relationships and broader networks required to lead their teams and to influence across the organisation.
