MSc in Quantitative Finance

Applications are now being accepted for this programme for the 2012/13 academic year. All applications must be submitted on-line. Applicants should familiarise themselves with the entry requirements for this programme before submitting their application.

The entry requirements for the MSc Quantitative Finance programme are as follows:

You will need:

  • A primary degree in an appropriate field. These include Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering and Physics.
  • Applicants must hold a minimum of a second class honours degree (or equivalent) which includes mathematics .
  • High academic grades (your transcript should include grades for each subject taken).
  • Two completed reference forms from academic referees who can assess your intellectual ability, maturity and motivation. Part-time students can provide employer references.   • Candidates may be asked to sit the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) subject to individual application

Please Note: Degree awards (levels, categories, classification) vary greatly across countries. International students are urged to contact the Admissions Office to get clarification on equivalent grades and the grades required for entry to this Masters programme. The UCD GPA system ranges from 4.2 downwards, unlike many other universities for which it is 4.0.

If English is not your first language an English language qualification is required for admission to all of our programmes.
