International Welcome

The Smurfit MBA Programme mirrors the international composition of today’s Ireland. Almost 50% of the participants in the Full-Time MBA class come from outside Ireland and around 15% of the EMBA class are non-Irish nationals living and working in Ireland.

The FT MBA 2010/2011 class come from Ireland, Canada, USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Kyrgystan, India and Vietnam.

Because of the small class sizes and focus on collective learning, our international students are soon integrated with our Irish students, bringing the outside perspective on business practices to the classroom.

During the Foundation Programme, a special welcome is held for the international students. This session will introduce you to Irish culture and give you valuable practical information about how to get started in Ireland.

However, even before you begin, the MBA Office will be in touch to introduce you to Ireland and your fellow students.

Apart from what I expected to gain academically from an international MBA program, I wanted an opportunity to contribute to an eclectic student body with unique backgrounds and experiences. UCD consistently proves to be that school, whilst being in a cosmopolitan neighborhood at the crossroads of major business activities, and where diversity is indeed celebrated.
