At UCD Smurfit School we have a dedicated Student Adviser. The role of Student Adviser is primarily to look after the welfare and well-being of students.
Our student adviser, Nadia Clarkin, offers information, advice and support to students on a range of issues, from simple requests for information to helping students deal with more confidential and serious matters including motivation, anxiety, relationship issues, ill-health, financial issues, study techniques and adjusting to a new study environment.
Sometimes a student just needs someone to listen to their concerns and reassure them, at other times students need practical help, emotional support or referral for more specialist advice to academic or administrative staff or other professional support services within the university.
Nadia is available to meet students in Blackrock on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is a confidential, drop-in service or you can make an appointment.
