UCD Smurfit School – Irish Aid IDEAS Scholarship Programme

• Up to seven (7) full tuition scholarships for the full-time MBA Programme
• Up to twenty (20) full tuition scholarships for the following MSc Programmes:

• MSc Project Management 
• Msc in Business Analytics
• MSc Supply Chain Management
• MSc Finance
• MSc Quantitative Finance 
• MSc in Management and Organisation Studies
• MSc in Management Consultancy
• MSc iBusiness
• MSc Marketing
• MSc International Business
• MSc in Strategic Management & Planning

All scholarships include stipend for accommodation & living expenses.

Please note that applications will only be considered for the MBA Fulltime programme and the eleven MSc programmes listed above. Applications should not be submitted for any other programmes.

Eligibility:

Please refer to the entry requirements for each programme and ensure that you meet them before submitting your application. In addition applicants should meet the following Scholarship entry requirements.

MBA Applicants

1. Must have a minimum of 3 years work experience
2. Must meet our minimum English Language requirement in a recognised English Language Test (If you have not taken your English Language Test, you must submit your result no later than March 2012)
3. Must achieve a minimum score of 550 or higher in the GMAT test.  Scholarship winners must have taken and secured the minimum GMAT test entry score by 31 May 2012

MSc Applicants

1. Must have a minimum of 1 years prior work experience.
2. Must meet our minimum English Language requirement in a recognised English Language Test (If you have not taken your English Language Test, you must submit your result no later than March 2012)
3. Must have achieved a minimum overall final grade of 7.0/10 or higher (or equivalent GPA grade) in their undergraduate degree.

The Scholarship Programme is open to Vietnamese citizens resident in Vietnam who are committed to returning to Vietnam after their masters/MBA. We particularly encourage applications from public sector, ethnic minorities, people with disability and other marginalised groups. In exceptional cases, work experience may compensate for academic experience. This scholarship programme is intended to support canditates who would otherwise be unable to access overseas postgraduate opportunities.

Programme Application Process - Step 1

Applications for MBA and MSc programmes are now being accepted. The closing date for programme applications is 29 February 2012 Apply Now

Applicants will be contacted by email once their application has been reviewed and a decision has been made. First round interviews will be carried out via telephone between January 2012 and February 2012. 

Irish Aid IDEAS Scholarship Application - Step 2

Upon receipt of an offer of a place on the relevant programme, applicants can then apply for the Irish Aid IDEAS Scholarship.

Irish Aid IDEAS Scholarship Final Interview and Selection - Step 3

Second round interviews for shortlisted applicants will be held from 23 April 2012 to 26 April 2012 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Scholarship winners will be notified by early May 2012.
