Cathy joined the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Career Development Centre in 2010. Cathy was appointed Senior Manager of the Career Development Centre at the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business in 2015 where her role involves managing the UCD Smurfit Careers team and developing relationships and engaging with key graduate employers. Formerly, Cathy was an Associate Director with one of Ireland's largest recruitment companies.
A career educationalist and more recently a Business and Executive Coach, Michael joined the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Career Development Centre as a Careers Manager in January 2016.
As a Careers Manager, he coaches students on an individual and group basis around topics such as career planning, effective applications and interview techniques to enable students fulfil their real potential.
Mark joined UCD Smurfit School as a Careers Manager in Jan 2018. He manages the FT & Exec MBA Career Development Programmes while also supporting MSc & MBA students on an individual basis with careers strategy, job applications & interview preparation. Mark also helps to build relationships with domestic & international employers of Business School students. He has 15 years experience in student careers, incl. 10 years as Employer Relations Manager for Imperial College Business School, London.
Edel is a People Development Specialist and Executive Coach who joined the UCD Smurfit School as a Careers Manager in Nov 2019. Currently she manages the Exec MBA Career Development Programmes as well as supporting students with all aspects of the career cycle – from choices, applications and interviews.
Careers Consultant (Part-time)
Bernie joined the Career Development Centre team at the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business in January 2016. Bernie’s primary role is to support students in their career planning and CV & Interview preparation.
Bernie is a HR consultant with over 20 years international and domestic experience across a range of industries.
Senior Careers & Skills Administrator
Amy joined the Smurfit careers team as the Senior Careers and Skills Administrator in August 2018. Amy manages the event administration of all career related activities in the Smurfit School including recruitment fairs, employer engagement, skills workshops and student appointments.
She provides project and administrative support to the Senior Career Manager and the team, and is the first point of contact for all student queries in person, by phone or email.
