MSc Open Evening February 2019 ScholarshipUCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School is pleased to offer a 100% tuition scholarship based on merit for a candidate who registers for and attends the School’s Open Evening on 6 February 2019 and who then subsequently applies for and comes onto one of our MSc one year full-time programmes in 2019/20.

The successful winner of this merit based award will be an ambassador for their course and the School during their studies and after graduation. The total value of this scholarship is 100% of the tuition fees for the Masters programme that the candidate has applied for and has accepted an offer from The School.
To be considered, students must be a graduate of an Irish Higher Educational Institution or will graduate in the summer of 2019. A candidate must hold an Hons 2.1 (60%) or above degree result or be in a position to achieve an Hons 2.1 or higher in their Bachelor Level 8 Honours degree and have completed their degree in full in the summer of 2019 with a finalised official degree result attained by 15th July 2019.
This Scholarship is for our full-time Taught Masters MSc Programmes only. It also includes our Master of Accounting.
The scholarship is not open to those who have already commenced or have previously undertaken a Masters programme.
This Scholarship will be judged on merit - awarded to the applicant on the basis of their overall degree result (holding an Hons 2.1 or above) along with the quality of their overall application. To be in contention, they must also have registered for and attended the School’s MSc Open Evening on Wednesday, 6 February 2019.

Please note that UCD Belfield programmes run in conjunction with UCD Smurfit School - MSc in Biotechnology and Business, MSc in Biotherapeutics and Business and MSc in International Law and Business - are not eligible for Scholarships.
To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must apply by the deadline of 28th February 2019:
- must have registered for and attended the School’s MSc Open Evening on Wednesday, 6 February 2019 (Register Here)
- have completed and submitted an online application to UCD Smurfit for the Taught Masters programme they hope to take in 2019/20. Click here to apply for a UCD Smurfit Taught Masters.
Late applications will not be accepted.
In addition, if made a full or conditional offer of a place from The School, you must have accepted that offered place by a deadline of 15th April 2019.
For students currently in their Final Year (2018/19), their Bachelor degree average at the time of application must be at an Hons 2.1 (60%) or above.
We will award the Scholarship in the second half of July 2019. All decisions are final.
Successful candidates can be awarded one Scholarship only from The School.
If an awardee does not take up a place or accept the scholarship, the award may be made to the next ranked candidate. Awardees that receive an award and subsequently cease study will be ineligible to apply again. The Scholarship award may not be deferred.
Candidates qualifying for more than one scholarship or bursary and successful in that, can’t add or combine them. They will be awarded the higher amount. Candidates can't transfer or use one scholarship or bursary between or against another programme. Scholarships and bursaries are also not allowed to be deferred to a future academic year so will be awarded to the student for the year they are offered a place only in UCD Smurfit. That is, students can't defer their place in UCD Smurfit to a future year.
