There are two types of Scholarship on offer.
- Two 100% scholarships for graduates who must hold a Hons 1.1 equivalent in their overall UCD bachelor degree result. Selection will be based on the overall quality of their UCD Smurfit application which includes their UCD grades, English Language competence, C.V. and essays in the UCD Smurfit MSc application.
- Five 50% scholarships to the top 5 students annually across all streams in UCD Sri Lanka (by order of marks).

The process is very straightforward. Students do not need to apply separately to be considered for these specific scholarships. All successful applicants for an MSc programme are automatically considered. These scholarships are merit based.
The deadline for submitting your MSc programme application is 1st May 2019. Ideally, we would like applications earlier than this date.
Decisions will be made by the Schools Scholarship Committee on or before 30th May 2019. In exceptional cases, we may offer some of these Scholarships in advance of May 2019. All decisions are final.
Late applications will not be accepted.
In addition, if made an offer of a place from The School, you must have accepted that offered place by the deadline of 21st May 2019.
All decisions are final.
Successful candidates can be awarded one Scholarship only from The School.
If an awardee does not take up a place or accept the scholarship, the award may be made to the next ranked candidate. Awardees that receive an award and subsequently cease study will be ineligible to apply again. The Scholarship award may not be deferred.
