The PDW is targeting early, mid-career, and experienced scholars with a major interest in studying the crucial connection between technology, competition and cooperation. Thus, their main research agenda may center on technological change, competitive strategy, cooperative strategies, interfirm alliances, strategic networks and ecosystems. Although the number of participants discussing their papers in the roundtable discussion will be limited to 24, we expect that a good number of participants will join as observers/auditors and contribute to the discussion. The organizers will be in charge of selecting the participants to attend the PDW, with the main selection criteria being academic merit and fit with the theme and aims of the PDW.

To apply to the PDW, prospective participants will be asked to submit a document that includes the following items: (1) a bio sketch of the submitter (some 350 words); and (2) a 2-page extended abstract (no less than 1,000 words) of the paper that the submitter would like to discuss in the PDW’s roundtable section; (3) a list of key questions or issues that the applicant is interested in as a basis for discussion, and (4) a prioritized list of panelists that the applicant would like to interact with and receive feedback from in the course of the PDW. The deadline for applications is July 1, 2019. Acceptance of 24 papers (4 papers for roundtables) for the roundtable discussion will be communicated no later than July 20, 2019.
