Syllabus and Reading
Please come prepared to raise questions for discussion (there will NOT be any lectures). The reading load is heavy.
NOTE THAT THE READINGS HERE REFLECT WHAT WAS USED IN 2017. THE MIX OF READINGS FOR DUBLIN 2022 WILL CHANGE SOMEWHAT.
Some students will be assigned responsibility for certain papers and topics. If you are assigned to be a discussion leader for a particular reading, you have the added responsibility to provide a 5 minute verbal overview of the reading, its method, its contribution, your evaluation of it, and come prepared with a few questions to start the discussion.
The schedule below includes the daytime activities. There will be evening activities such as collaborative critiques of research projects, talks by junior and senior faculty from Ireland. Coffee/tea will be provided mid morning and mid afternoon. There will also be a welcome reception and dinner at the end of the workshop.
Most papers are available online through your library. Those that are not available will be sent to you or available on a dedicated site.
View the workshop schedule and syllabus at the link below. Please note that the syllabus is indicative and will be modified closer to the date.
