What will I learn?

Cost savings were the main objective of shared service centres in the early days, but the objectives today are far more strategic, focused on adding value to the whole business value chain, to driving innovation and improving analytics. Service delivery, whether in-house or out-sourced, is now seen as an ongoing partnership that requires leadership, insight, and collaboration between a corporate client and its service centre affiliate or external outsourcing service provider.

The teaching approach and course content have been developed to provide a highly analytical view of the role and value of all aspects of global business services management. Participants will gain:

1

A comprehensive understanding of the global macro-economic context, as well as the organisational structures and dynamics of their employer firms.

2

Skills in managing large teams of staff across different countries and all the issues associated with cross-cultural management.

3

Skills in designing metrics to assess performance in a process of continual improvement.
