World’s top 10 for MSc in Supply Chain Management

UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School’s Masters in Supply Chain Management has been ranked amongst the world’s elite programmes by achieving a ranking of 10th globally in the prestigious QS World University Rankings. This is the first year the programmes has been evaluated by the QS World University Rankings.

The QS World University Rankings evaluate performance across five key indicator groups including Employability and Thought Leadership. UCD Smurfit School received the strongest score in the Employability category performing amongst the top 13% globally.

According to the QS World University Rankings Fact File, “The QS Global Employer Survey… asks employers from which schools they prefer to hire MBA and business school graduates. The survey response is very robust each year and we are pleased to see employers across all sectors, types, and geographic regions take part. These include leading business school hiring companies such as McKinsey, Google, Siemens, Airbus, and many more.” The responses result in a programme’s employer reputation score.

Thought Leadership in the MSc in Supply Chain Management also received an outstanding score and performed amongst the top 15% globally. The ranking sees tens of thousands of academics from around the world interviewed each year and respondents are asked to nominate specific universities and business schools that they believe conduct cutting edge research.

UCD Smurfit School’s Masters in Management programmes also saw a rise of 3 places from 36th to 33rd globally. Top performance indicators were in Thought Leadership where the programme was ranked amongst the top 29.1% globally and in the Employability category the programme was ranked in the top 17.6% globally.

Additionally, the following programmes performed extremely well in the QS World Rankings with all rankings within the world’s top 40: MSc in Business Analytics (23rd globally), MSc in Marketing (22nd globally), and MSc in Finance (37th globally). In the Global MBA Rankings, the UCD Smurfit School MBA is now ranked 37th in Europe.

The rankings demonstrate the consistent international standing of UCD Smurfit School’s Masters programmes and places the School within an elite group of global business educators.
