Biography :

Mahdi Niknejad is a PhD student at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, specializing in financial technology with a focus on asset tokenization and its hidden advantages in finance and risk management. His research investigates how tokenization can transform traditional financial systems, enhance transparency, optimize risk management, and support innovative solutions in both institutional and cross-border contexts. working on tokenizing accounts receivable in private credit.

He holds an MSc in Financial Technology with distinction from the University of Reading and BSc in financial management.

His broader research interests include decentralized finance (DeFi), digital assets and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
