Research is focused on market microstructure with the key objective of developing a new market liquidity measure. Before joining Smurfit, Ronald held investment administrator position at a Kenyan Based top-tiered healthcare provider for the bottom of the pyramid population (Penda Health) and was also a corporate finance analyst at E&K consulting firm in Nairobi. Through the two roles, Ronald has been involved in capital raising (2 million Dollars) and health financing advisory that spanned 7 countries, five in Africa and two in South America. Ronald completed his MSC in Investments Management at Henley Business School at University of Reading in the UK and won the Good People Award in 2018. He emerged among the top students in his Undergraduate Finance class with a first-class honours degree and was the top-student as well in his A-levels. He has won prestigious scholarships like Ad Astra Scholarship (at UCD), Chevening Scholarship from the UK Government and CFA Access Scholarship. Ronald is as well an avid entrepreneur and has co-founded two start-ups, Realedge International and Fanikisha Farm Limited, and seeks to match academic and industrial practice for impact.
