UCD is committed to creating an inclusive community for all our employees and students. This includes the provision of a work/study environment;
- that values and respects diversity and equality
- where you have the right to be treated with dignity and respect
- that is rewarding and respectful, assisting you in achieving your full potential.
The UCD Dignity & Respect Support Advisers work proactively with employees and students who disclose issues of bullying, harassment, or sexual misconduct and those who are reported for these issues. The Advisers, who are experienced and trained to support, respond and advise on all reports of a dignity and respect nature, will provide you with a supportive, confidential environment in which to discuss the issues and to make a decision that is right for you and your situation. Advisers can provide proactive support to progress informal resolution options in addition to guidance on relevant UCD policies and the formal complaints process.
UCD Dignity and Respect Support Advisers run a term time drop-in service in UCD Smurfit School on Wednesdays during which students, employees and UCD community members can drop-in for proactive support, information, or simply a listening ear. Alternatively, face-to-face or Zoom appointments can be made by emailing respect@ucd.ie or phoning by (01) 716 7716.
