Overview

This exciting new programme offers you all the benefits of a comprehensive management education without putting your career on hold thanks to its highly flexible online delivery mode, and innovative curriculum and materials. It is particularly suited to professionals in demanding careers and those with caring responsibilities for whom time-flexibility is important, as well as for those based outside of Dublin looking to study at UCD.

The programme is primarily aimed at those with a non-business undergraduate degree who are looking to accelerate their career while working full-time, by combining their prior qualifications with an in-depth understanding of all key business disciplines, and the necessary problem-solving and leadership skills to support their professional development. Students will undertake a number of modules delivered via synchronous and asynchronous online modalities over two years.

About our Delivery

Our guiding principle in offering flexibility is to place student experience and choice at the heart of our teaching and enabling our students to connect in new ways that better suit their preferences and professional commitments.

Students will commence with an orientation week, introducing you to your fellow students, the programme team, and the online environment and digital tools that you will use during the programme.  For the academic year, 2023/2024, provisional dates for the orientation are 5-9 September 2023. Orientation will be streamed online for those unable to attend in person.

Online synchronous classes will be held every second Saturday morning (provisionally scheduled for 9am-1pm GMT). Class participation and interaction is a key aspect of the programme and it is important that student participate fully and actively with cameras on for the live sessions. An indicative timetable will be provided in Spring 2023. Students can expect to devote approximately 15 hours a week of self-study while on the programme.

Part-time postgraduate study can be challenging. In recognition of this, a dedicated Programme Manager is available to support and advise you on all course matters through our email, video-conference, telephone, and drop-in support service to support you on your studies.

While this programme is delivered online, it also offers opportunities for students to build relationships with other students at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and avail of our additional optional opportunities for additional co-curricular activities while on the programme including the Global Leadership Programme and the UCD Advantage.
